'John Moran and his Neighbour Saori... In Thailand'

The stunningly original performances by New York composer John Moran and his Japanese neighbour Saori were the sleeper hit of Mayfest 2009. Not they return from further adventures: this time exploring the lights (and darkness) of Bangkok, Thailand.

Discovered by Philip Glass at a young age, Glass has said of his protégé: "I am convinced that there is no more important composer working today, than John Moran. His works have been so advanced as to be considered revolutionary." Moran's impossible to describe productions of music-theatre have featured performers such as Uma Thurman, Iggy Pop and Allen Ginsberg.

Together with the astonishing classically trained dancer Saori Tsukada the duo have developed an infamous reputation across Europe as being both impossible to classify and breathtakingly unique.
